Why PDF pages end up sideways

Scanners and phone scanning apps don’t always detect page orientation. A document with a landscape table in the middle, or pages scanned in a different direction, often ends up with some pages sideways or upside down. Reviewers then have to rotate their screen or print, which looks unprofessional in an application or report.

Rotate only what’s wrong

Type the pages that need fixing, such as “3” or “2, 5-7”, and leave the rest untouched. If every page is sideways, leave the box empty. Rotation is added to each page’s current orientation, so rotating an already-rotated page 90° turns it another quarter.

Lossless rotation
