How to use the PDF to JPG

  1. Choose your PDF.
  2. Pick JPG or PNG and a quality level (72, 150 or 300 DPI).
  3. Optionally type the pages you want, e.g. 1-3.
  4. Click Convert; multiple pages download as a ZIP.

Why convert a PDF to images?

Many forms and apps accept only images: a portal asking for a JPG of your certificate, WhatsApp status updates, social media posts, presentations, or websites that can’t embed PDFs. Converting each page to an image lets you use the content anywhere.

JPG or PNG?

  • JPG is smaller and ideal for scanned documents, photos and uploads with size limits.
  • PNG keeps text and lines perfectly sharp, which suits diagrams, charts and digital documents, but files are larger.

Choosing the resolution

SettingA4 page sizeUse for
72 DPIabout 595 × 842 pxQuick previews, messaging
150 DPIabout 1240 × 1754 pxForms, screens, most uses
300 DPIabout 2480 × 3508 pxPrinting, small text

Selecting pages

Leave the pages box empty to convert all pages, or enter pages like “1, 3-4”. One page downloads as a single image; several pages download as a ZIP named by page number.

Need a size limit?

If a portal wants the image under a certain KB, run it through the KB resizer. To go the other way, from images to PDF, use Image to PDF.

Pages are rendered in your browser with the same engine used by Firefox’s PDF viewer. Your document is never uploaded. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first with unlock PDF.

Quick answers

Can I convert a scanned PDF? Yes, any PDF works. How long does it take? About a second per page at 150 DPI on most devices; 300 DPI takes longer and creates larger files. Can I then reduce the images to a KB limit? Yes, with the KB resizer. Why are fonts slightly different? Pages are rendered with the fonts embedded in the PDF; if a PDF doesn’t embed fonts, a similar font is substituted.
