Passport Size Photo Maker
Crop your photo to passport size, add a border if you like, and print multiple copies on a 4×6 or A4 sheet.
Your files never leave your device. Processing happens in your browser.
How to use the Passport Photo
- Upload a clear, front-facing photo on a plain background.
- Choose the photo size, then drag and zoom so your face is centred.
- Optionally add a white or coloured border and pick the print sheet.
- Click Create and download the single photo, the sheet JPG or the sheet PDF.
- Print at 100% scale (no 'fit to page') and cut along the guides.
Standard passport photo sizes
The Indian passport and most Indian forms use 3.5 × 4.5 cm (35 × 45 mm). The US passport and the Indian visa use 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm). Canada uses 50 × 70 mm and China’s visa 33 × 48 mm. Pick the size from the list, or enter a custom size in millimetres if your form states something different.
What makes a photo acceptable
- Face the camera directly with a neutral expression and both eyes open.
- Use a plain white or light background with no shadows behind you.
- Your head, from chin to top of hair, should fill roughly 70–80% of the photo height.
- No caps or dark glasses; religious head coverings are usually allowed if the face is fully visible.
- Recent photo: most authorities want it taken within the last six months.
Rules differ by country and authority, so check the official guidance before printing.
Printing at home or at a shop
A 4 × 6 inch sheet holds eight 3.5 × 4.5 cm photos, which is the cheapest way to print at a photo studio or kiosk. An A4 sheet holds 30. Both are generated at 300 DPI, which is print quality. When printing, choose “actual size” or 100% scale; “fit to page” will shrink the photos and make them the wrong size. The light cutting guides help you trim neatly.
Using the photo online
Download the single photo for online forms. If the form has a KB limit, reduce it with the 20 KB or custom KB resizer. For exam portals with fixed pixel sizes, the exam photo resizer is quicker.
Private and free
Your photo is processed in your browser and never uploaded. There are no watermarks and no sign-ups.
Studio vs home printing
A 4×6 print at a photo studio usually costs much less than a set of passport photos, and gives glossy photo-paper quality. Home inkjet printers work too on photo paper; use the highest quality setting.
