Signature Resizer
Turn a photo of your signature into a clean image with the exact pixels and KB size a form asks for.
Your files never leave your device. Processing happens in your browser.
How to use the Signature Resizer
- Sign on white paper with a dark pen and take a clear photo.
- Upload it and choose an exam preset or enter a custom size.
- Keep 'Crop to the signature' and 'Clean paper to white' on for best results.
- Click Resize signature and download the JPG.
Why signature uploads fail so often
Signature requirements are strict: an exact pixel box (for example 140 × 60), a narrow KB range (often 10–20 KB), JPG format and sometimes a DPI. A phone photo of a signature has none of these. It is huge, has grey paper, shadows and lots of empty space. This tool fixes all of that in one step.
What the tool does
- Crops to the ink, removing empty paper around the signature with a small margin.
- Whitens the paper so light grey shadows become pure white, which makes the signature crisp and the file smaller.
- Fits the signature into the required pixel box without stretching it; any spare space is white.
- Controls the size: highest quality under the maximum KB, padded harmlessly if below the minimum.
- Sets the DPI when the preset specifies one.
Tips for a good signature image
- Use a black or dark blue ball-point or gel pen; avoid pencils and light colours.
- Sign larger than usual, within a box roughly twice as wide as it is tall.
- Photograph in daylight from directly above, without your phone’s shadow.
- If faint strokes disappear, lower the “paper detection” slider; if grey patches remain, raise it.
Exam presets
Presets for exams such as SSC, IBPS, SBI, RRB and NTA exams are included as a starting point, with the last date they were checked. Notifications change, so compare the numbers with your current notification. The full exam resizer also handles photos, thumb impressions and declarations.
Need a transparent signature?
For documents and PDFs, a transparent PNG looks more natural. Use the signature background remover, then place it with Sign PDF. All processing is on your device; your signature is never uploaded.
Common rejection reasons
Portals reject signatures written in capital letters, signatures that are too faint, and images with a grey or coloured background. The resizer fixes the background; the rest is down to how you sign.
