Scientific Calculator

A full scientific calculator for trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots and factorials, on any device.

Share:WhatsAppTelegram

How to use the Scientific Calc

  1. Type an expression or use the keys, e.g. sin(30)+2^3.
  2. Switch between DEG and RAD for trigonometry.
  3. Press = or Enter to calculate; results go into history.
  4. Tap a history line to reuse its answer.

What it can do

  • Arithmetic with correct order of operations: brackets, powers, multiplication/division, then addition/subtraction.
  • Powers and roots: 2^10, sqrt(16), cbrt(27).
  • Trigonometry: sin, cos, tan and their inverses asin, acos, atan, in degrees or radians.
  • Logarithms: log (base 10) and ln (natural log), and exp.
  • Factorial (5! = 120), percent (18% = 0.18), and the constants π and e.

Degrees or radians?

School trigonometry in India mostly uses degrees: sin 30° = 0.5. Calculus and physics often use radians: sin(π/6) = 0.5. The DEG/RAD button switches modes, and the current mode is always shown. A wrong mode is the most common cause of “wrong” trigonometry answers.

Order of operations

The calculator follows standard mathematical order (BODMAS/PEMDAS). Powers are right-associative, so 2^3^2 = 2^9 = 512, and −2^2 = −4 because the power applies before the minus. Use brackets when in doubt: (−2)^2 = 4.

Clean answers

Computers store decimals in binary, which can produce results like 0.30000000000000004 for 0.1 + 0.2. This calculator tidies such rounding noise, and sin(180°) shows 0 rather than a tiny leftover number.

Keyboard friendly

Type expressions directly with your keyboard and press Enter. The history keeps your last eight calculations. For everyday percentages, see the percentage calculator; for interest, the interest calculator.

Examples

TypeResult
sin(30)0.5 (DEG)
2^101024
sqrt(144)12
log(1000)3
ln(e)1
5!120
200*18%36

Functions need brackets: type sin(30), not sin 30.

Quick answers

Can I use it in exams? Online calculators are not allowed in most exam halls, so practise with the calculator type your exam permits. Does it support fractions? Type them as divisions, such as 3/4, to get decimal answers. What is the maximum factorial? Up to 170!; larger values are shown as infinity. Use the history list to reuse earlier answers in new calculations without retyping them.

Frequently asked questions

How do I switch between degrees and radians?
Tap the DEG/RAD button. The current mode is shown on the button.
Why is sin(30) not 0.5?
You're probably in RAD mode. Switch to DEG.
Does it follow BODMAS?
Yes. Brackets, powers, multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction.
Can I type with my keyboard?
Yes. Type in the display and press Enter.
