How to use the Invoice (Any Currency)

  1. Enter your business and client details, including tax IDs if you have them.
  2. Choose the currency and whether to charge VAT, GST or sales tax.
  3. Add line items with quantity, unit price and tax rate.
  4. Add payment details and terms, then download the PDF.

What to include on an invoice

A clear invoice gets paid faster. Include a unique invoice number, the invoice date and due date, your business name and address, your client's details, a description of each item or service with quantity and price, the subtotal, any tax and the total due. Add how to pay you, such as bank details, IBAN and SWIFT code, or a PayPal address, and your payment terms, for example "Payment due within 30 days".

VAT, GST and sales tax

If you are registered for VAT or GST, show your tax ID and your client's where required, list the tax rate for each line, and show the tax amount separately. The generator groups tax by rate, so an invoice with 20% and 5% items shows both totals. In the United States, sales tax generally applies to goods sold to consumers rather than to most services; if you don't charge tax, simply turn it off. Check your local rules or ask an accountant about what your invoices must include.

Invoicing international clients

Choose the currency your client pays in; amounts are shown with the currency code, such as USD or EUR, which avoids confusion between currencies that share a symbol. For cross-border services within the EU, a reverse-charge note may be required; add it in the notes. Include a PO or reference number if your client uses purchase orders, as it speeds up approval.

Private and free

The PDF is created in your browser, so your client list and prices never touch our server, and there is no sign-up or watermark. Selling in India? Use the GST invoice generator with GSTIN, HSN and CGST/SGST. For estimates, the quotation generator works the same way, and the VAT calculator checks your tax figures.

Numbering and records

Use a consistent, sequential numbering scheme, such as INV-2026-001, and never reuse a number. Keep a copy of every invoice you send, because tax authorities in most countries expect you to keep records for several years.
