WhatsApp Link & QR Generator
Create a click-to-chat WhatsApp link with a pre-filled message, plus a QR code for print.
How to use the WhatsApp Link
- Enter your WhatsApp number with country code (91 for India).
- Type an optional pre-filled message.
- Copy the link or test it.
- Download the QR code for posters, cards and packaging.
What is a wa.me link?
WhatsApp’s click-to-chat feature opens a chat with a number without saving it as a contact first. The link looks like https://wa.me/919876543210. You can add a pre-filled message that appears in the customer’s chat box, ready to send, for example “Hi, I’d like to book a table”.
Where to use it
- Instagram and Facebook bios, and Google Business Profile.
- Website buttons (“Chat on WhatsApp”).
- Posters, menus, visiting cards and product packaging, using the QR code.
- Order forms, ads and e-mail signatures.
Number format
Use the full international number without “+”, spaces, dashes or a leading zero: 91 followed by the 10-digit mobile number for India. The tool cleans common formatting automatically. The number must be registered on WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business.
Writing a good pre-filled message
Keep it short and specific so customers tell you what they need: “Hi, I want to know the price of …” or “Hi, I’d like to book an appointment for …”. You can use different messages on different channels to see where customers come from.
Privacy
Publishing a WhatsApp link makes your number public. Consider a separate business number and the WhatsApp Business app, which adds business hours, catalogues and quick replies. The link and QR are made in your browser. For other QR codes, try the QR code generator or UPI QR for payments.
Example messages
- Restaurant: “Hi, I’d like to reserve a table for ___ people at ___ pm.”
- Tuition class: “Hi, I want details about Class 10 maths batches.”
- Online seller: “Hi, is this product available in size ___?”
- Service provider: “Hi, I need a quote for AC servicing.”
Leave blanks for customers to fill in; it gets you the details you need in the first message.
Test the link on a phone and a computer; on desktops it opens WhatsApp Web or the desktop app.
