What is the handwritten declaration?
Since around 2019, IBPS and other bank recruiters have asked candidates to upload a declaration written in their own handwriting, confirming that the information in the application is correct. The exact wording is given in the notification. It must be written in English by the candidate, in normal handwriting. Notifications have stated that declarations in capital letters, or written by someone else, will not be accepted.
Writing it correctly
- Copy the declaration text word for word from your current notification. Don’t use text from old notices or websites.
- Write on plain white A4 paper with a black or dark blue pen, in running (not capital) letters.
- Leave margins and write in a wide block, roughly twice as wide as it is tall, so it fits the required shape.
- Sign below only if the notification asks you to.
Photographing and resizing
Photograph the page from directly above, without shadows. Upload it here, select “Handwritten declaration”, and drag and zoom so the text fills the frame. The tool whitens the paper, keeps the text dark, resizes to the exact pixels, and fits the file into the KB range, padding it harmlessly if it is too small. Zoom into the preview to confirm every word is readable; if not, crop more tightly so the text is larger.
Thumb impression
Select “Thumb impression” for the left thumb. Use a blue or black ink pad and press evenly for visible ridges. See the thumb impression resizer for more tips.

Quick answers
