How to Resize a Photo to 20 KB for Exam Forms

Many recruitment portals ask for a photograph between 20 KB and 50 KB, and some cap it at 20 KB. A photo straight from a phone camera is usually 2–5 MB, so it has to be reduced about a hundred times.
1. Crop first
Crop the photo to your head and shoulders before reducing it. Fewer pixels means the file can stay sharp at a small size.
2. Resize to the required dimensions
If the form states pixel dimensions, such as 200 × 230, resize to exactly those. Smaller dimensions make the size target much easier to hit.
3. Reduce the file size

4. Check before uploading
